RICE INDUSTRY AND CONSUMER EMPOWERMENT (RICE) ACT

The Rice Industry and Consumer Empowerment (RICE) Act aims to enhance rice security in the Philippines by ensuring a stable supply and price of rice. It seeks to strengthen the National Food Authority's role in regulating rice supply and prices, including provisions for buffer stocks, penalties for hoarding, and the establishment of floor prices for palay.
