Senate Office of the ferretary TWENTIETH CONGRESS OF THE ) REPUBLIC OF THE PHILIPPINES 26 MAR 16 P4:15 First Regular Session SENATE RECEIVED BY S. No. _ 1971 Introduced by Senator Francis G. Escudero AN ACT CONVERTING THE ESPERANZA ELEMENTARY SCHOOL IN BARANGAY ESPERANZA, MUNICIPALITY OF PILAR, PROVINCE OF SORSOGON, INTO AN INTEGRATED SCHOOL TO BE KNOWN AS THE ESPERANZA INTEGRATED SCHOOL, AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR EXPLANATORY NOTE This bill, as a counterpart measure to House Bill No. 6274 filed by the Representative of the First District of Sorsogon, seeks to establish an integrated school in Barangay Esperanza, Municipality of Pilar in the Province of Sorsogon. At present, students who completed their elementary education in Barangay Esperanza must travel to other areas to continue their education, imposing additional financial and logistical burdens for their families. Establishing an integrated school in the aforementioned locality will allow learners to complete their Junior High School education within their community, thereby improving access to basic education and helping ensure continuity in learning. The existing school has the capacity to support this proposed transition, with available classrooms, space for future expansion, and the necessary educational resources and personnel to deliver quality secondary-level instruction. The proposal also enjoys the support of local officials, parents, and the broader community. In view of the foregoing, the passage of the measure is respectfully requested. FRANCIS G. ESCUDERO
