No. 8609 By REPRESENTATIVES BARBA, PUMAREN AND SUANSING (M.A.) AN ACT UPGRADING THE LAND TRANSPORTATION OFFICE (LTO) DISTRICT OFFICE IN THE CITY OF BATAC, PROVINCE OF ILOCOS NORTE, FROM CLASS "D" TO CLASS "C," AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

SECTION 1. The district office of the Land Transportation Office (LTO) in the City

2 of Batac, Province of llocos Norte, is hereby upgraded from Class "D" to Class "C" district office.

SEC. 2. The Secretary of the Department of Transportation shall immediately

include in the Department's program the upgrading of the LTO district office in the City of Batac, Province of llocos Norte, the initial funding of which shall be charged against the current year's appropriation of the existing LTO district office in the City of Batac, Province 8 of llocos Norte. Thereafter, the funding of which shall be included in the annual General 9 Appropriations Act.

SEC. 3. This Act shall take effect fifteen (15) days after its publication in the Official
