CONGRESS OF THE PHILIPPINES TWENTIETH CONGRESS First Regular Session } HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES H. No. 8474 BY REPRESENTATIVES CASTRO, GUINTU, GATO AND SUANSING (M.A.) AN ACT UPGRADING THE ROXAS MEMORIAL PROVINGIAL HOSPITAL IN BARANGAY LANOT, CITY OF ROXAS, PROVINCE OF CAPIZ INTO A LEVEL III GENERAL HOSPITAL TO BE KNOWN AS THE CAPIZ MEDICAL CENTER, AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

SECTION 1. The Roxas Memorial Provincial Hospital in Barangay Lanot,

City of Roxas, Province of Capiz, is hereby upgraded into a Level Ill general hospital to be known as the Capiz Medical Center (CMC), which shall be under 4 the direct supervision and control of the Department of Health (DOH). consisten it he hospire decease in plan end space prepared My the al be. The existing professional health care services and facilities of th MC shall also be upgraded to conform with and be commensurate to the increase in bed capacity as provided for in Section 2 hereof. nurses. and supon existing stilate be increas, cores ponding doctors.

SEC. 5. The Secretary of Health shall, in consultation with the Medical

Center Chief of the CMC, determine the additional positions required for the operation of the CMC, subject to applicable laws, rules, and regulations.

SEC. 6. Within one hundred eighty (180) days from the effectivity of this

Act, the DOH shall, in coordination with the Provincial Govemment of Capiz 22 formulate a transition plan for the renationalization of the CMC. The transition period for the renationalization shall commence immediately upon approval of this Act.

SEC. 8. If any provision of this Act is declared unconstitutional, the
